Bon Noël began at a time when my mother’s health was poor. Seeing that she found bread easier to eat than rice, I started baking bread for her myself.
In those days I learned that a warm slice of bread can comfort someone’s day. From that grew the wish to make “wholesome bread for someone you love.”
For 13 years in Seongsu, our bakers have made everything by hand every day — no frozen dough, no premixes, from weighing the flour to baking. Starting in Seongsu, we now bake with the same care at four stores: Dapsimni, Junggye and Wangsimni.
